Peugeot 307 Starter

Post by gjshucky »

Hi all,

New to the forum here. The other half has got a 1.6 Petrol 307 LX.

Since we bought it, the starter motor has always made a grinding noise on start up, as if your holding the key still after starting up, except your only just turning it over. The car starts fine most of the time except for the rare occasion its taken slight longer to start. The starter itself looks recently changed, very clean.

Any thoughts?

Cheers!

Maybe they didn't fit the location dowel, this can cause noise issues, as the starter ends up badly aligned.

Yep, could be. Check that the bolts are tight.
