Peugeot 806 & lexia

Post by ken newbold »

I bought a lexia tool from ebay about a year ago for the 807, not much success with either really although I could read some faults and correct them.

I now have an 806 with the EML light on, car is running fine but would like to check it and see why it's on. However my lexia won't plug into the socket on the 806, it seems to be a completely different plug :-(

Any help please

You probably have the old 30 pin connector. Adaptors are available.

Thanks very much, I'll check the car tomorrow in daylight and get one ordered. :-)

Finally got round to having a look at the socket on this 806 today, this is what I've got one the car, but it doesn't look like it will connect to the one in the link. Any thoughts?

That's the normal 16 pin socket then, you say it doesn't look like it will fit, have you actually tried it ?

I DO NOT BELIEVE IT! (Said with a Victor Meldrew voice) It does fit. I tried it a few weeks ago before I posted and couldn't get it to fit. However there is a strong possibility that I tried it in the wrong car, got too many of them around here :-/

Many thanks for your help and patience. Just need to power up the laptop and see why the EML is lit up.

Thanks again Ken

They can be a tight and dodgy fit sometimes Ken..

Hope the cause of the EML is nothing too serious...
