hi all,
had my 406 110 hdi for a while now and hadn't really noticed but a few people have drove my car
& all commented on my accelerator been hard to press ?
ive since drove my friends 406 and throttle is very light and feels more responsive to myn ??
just wondering if anyone had any advice much appreciated thanks.

The accelerator cable needs oil.

do you oil at the pedal ive squirted abit grease where the cable is under bonnet ?

No. The cable needs to be oiled. Disconnect the cable from the position sensor. Raise up the end and make a little funnel from plastic or aluminium foil. Pour in some light machine oil eg 3 in 1 or bicycle oil. Leave it for a period to travel down the cable.

hi sorted the cable did as you said & sprayed some duck oil down the cable and worked
the inner cable,
worked a treat like a new car thanks again
