Peugeot 406 coupe radio code

I had to charge the battery on the 406 last week and I don't have the code for the radio .It's not in the service book or any handbooks that are with the car. It was imported from holland when new and a UK book pack purchased from a dealer . It's not a hardship listening to the V6 burble but some tunes would be nice .

I suppose you have searched all through the cars papers? sometimes I`ve found a code in an odd place.I even found a garage invoice for a radio recode tucked away in a folder on one car.
The "peugeot" way is,go to a Main Dealer with the radio serial/model numbers and car vin number,its best to take your V5 and some ID,and they will come up with a code.They will probably charge you about £25 -£30 ? If your a regular service customer they have been known to do it for free!! not very often though.
You will have to remove the radio from the dash to find all the numbers.There are two small holes at each side,carefully insert a screw driver/metal rod or what ever to release the holding clips,VERY ! carefully lever the radio away from its "letter box". Its plastic be gentle! also being a coupe it may have a polished wood surround?? do not force anything !

Betty on another Peugeot forum can get you the code if you provide the serial, much cheaper than a dealer.
