peugeot 206 1.4 hdi gearbox help
Hi guys can any one tell me what gearbox i need mine has just given up the last 8 digits of vin are 43802692 thanks in advance the year is 2004

Hi i think i have found gearbox number it is 20CP70 stamped on gearbox anyone know what other boxes are compatible thanks

It appears that this box is only used on the 1.4 HDi, and then only on certain variants - there is another MA gearbox, but I think it's got a different differential, so possibly longer geared for higher powered models. Citroen don't list this part number - they have a variety of different ones for C2 / C3 1.4 HDi models. I suspect that any of them will phyiscally fit, but you may end up with different gear ratios / final drive.
What's up with the box? It might be repairable. Being an MA it's probably eaten the diff bearings....
