405 Radiator

Post by jay » 08 Jan 2002, 23:11

Just installed a new aftermarket (Serck Marston) radiator in my '94 405 GTX. Car has a 2,0 litre motor (type RFX). The new radiator has an extra open pipe about 3 cm long at the bottom of the plastic tank on the fill side (left when looking under bonnet). The extra pipe is quite in the way of the power steering pump, leaving me only about 1 cm clearance. For the moment, I've used a short section of rubber hose, a machine bolt, and two hose clamps to plug the pipe. Anyone got a better permanent solution for sealing off this pipe?
