Peugeot 208 front grille chrome trim

Post by beemernut »

My daughter's boyfriend has damaged the chrome trim that goes round the front grille ( the bit that looks like a large chrome smile). He has been quoted £230 to get a new one fitted as it has to be melted onto the bumper. Does anyone know if this is correct or is it held in place with trim clips?
Any advice would be appreciated

on entering your VIN into pug service box

it came up with three options, ( very strange as it should only show what is actually fitted to that car )

16 074 286 80
BUMPER TRIM
PRIMED

16 081 121 80
FRONT BUMPER MOULDING
CHROME

16 081 124 80
BLACK CHROME

as you mentioned "CHROME" below are the two options they list with chrome

Reference Description Quantity Price - VAT Price + VAT Total + VAT Selection

chrome only
1608112180 BUMPER MOULDING 60.04 GBP 72.05 GBP 72.05 GBP

black and chrome
1608112480 BUMPER MOULDING 68.55 GBP 82.26 GBP 82.26 GBP

if you dont like Peugeots price's you could try doing a goooogly search with the appropriate part No. to see if anyone has NOS = new old stock of the version
fitted to the car

also pm. sent with the cars birth certificate
