406 D9 Petrol Hydraulic valve

Post by toh »

Hello every one,

I got 406 D9 version 2003 Petrol engine,

Now, I think there must be something wrong with the Main pressure Modulation Electrovalve and Convertoer pressure Modultion Electrovalve, referring to PP2000 diag software and
data surfing on the internet. My PUG got the same behaviors as they said.

My question is ...as the following :

Valve number 18 and 19, Are they have the same technical specification ? Can I replace one with another one?
and they said 2574.10 should be replace with 2574.16 (Software update is required) Can I do update by myself? or need to go to Service center.

Thank you.

Hello Toh, good to see you again :-D

I take it the gearbox in question is an AL4?

Hello Jim, :-D
I am happy to talk to you again , I was out for 2 years from PUG.
I am back now with 406 D9 AL4 gearbox. :-D

As I mentioned above, there was a fault with blinking of Snow and Sport LED during drive. 4th gear was disengaged on the fly.
Gearbox went to downgrade mode, lose of engine power. After stop, turning of the system, and restart the engine, everything was fine.

After a while on google, I got this:

and PP2000 diag got this,

This guy said we need to update ECU software for replacement of 2574.10 to be 2574.16.

So,

Can I try to test by replacing one with another and what if I replace the old part with 2574.16 without updating software.. ??

Thank you. :-D
