My recently acquired 407 2.0 HDi Automatic (2007 Model) has a strange intermittent gearbox issue. It slips in to neutral between low gears then thuds into gear. Doesn't do this all the time but is very unpleasant when it does!!
I have taken the car to Peugeot who kindly charged me £50 plus vat only to tell me they cant find any faults!!!
They say that there are no gearbox related fault codes stored, and the car is not flagging up any gearbox faults on the dashboard.
The only warning that flashes is a picture of the car with 4 arrows pointing at each wheel?? Not sure what this means is it traction control or TPS??
Any help gratefully appreciated!
