Peugeot 205xs driveshaft

Hi there.
My 205 needs a L/H driveshaft, i'm just wondering if a 1.0 or 1.1 driveshaft would fit, the part numbers seem to match up but I've been told elsewhere that they won't.
Does anyone know for sure?
