Testing driver side central locking unit and wiring

Post by Welshy_Pete »

I need to test the wiring on the socket plug for the central locking unit.

Also how about a test for the central locking unit?

I got 2 multi meters but not the best at using them so any help would be great. I've got the door card of ready to start.

I've just fitted a new loom in the driver door. The windows, mirrors and interior light all work fine.

306 hdi thanks

how much if any of the central locking is working now you have fitted the replacement loom,

it might be woth just checking the door shut wiring on the other side of the car before trying to find a fault you either dont have, or installed your self,

as one side with broken wires can/will affect the other

There are 3 doors that are fine no problems.

Its just the driver door the central locking would work sometimes then wouldn't and just stopped every since.

There no difference since I changed the loom everything working apart from the driver side central locking motor.

I got the central locking working in the end. I put anther door piller loom in. So that sorted out afew things. The central locking still wouldn't work. So I got anther motor connected it to the loom connector and it worked fine.

So now I've fitted it on the car its working great now.
