I have had a problem with intermittent loss of power since I purchased my 406 estate hdi. Peugeot Australia and mechanics associated with dealers were not able to offer any assistance except the usual diagnostics and reset of computer codes which did not fix the problem. Today I removed the MAS and cleaned it with carby clean pressure pack - no difference, then I removed the intercooler and dismantled it and re-sealed the lower plastic box- no difference. As a last resort I have removed the electrical connector to the EGR valve controller and all is fixed!
I am once again a very happy little pugboy!
