There is no simple way out of this really. 1st of all you need to take a note of what make of ECU your car has fitted to it, ie Bosch , Siemens , Marelli etc. then take a note of all the numbers on the label.
You will pretty much need exactly the same match of make and numbers.
That ecu will then need to have the immobiliser disabled in it by an ecu tech.
You could try calling a guy called Dennis at this company http://www.bluehawkelectronics.co.uk/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;.
He will ask for all the numbers etc, and will probably do you an exchange unit for about £150 ish

Just read your other post, I would not even consider changing the ecu, it will be the wiring.
ECU, don't just break like that, or at least very rarely!
Retrace your steps on the wiring you have touched, pull apart the wiring connectors and check for corrosion.
I would spend £100 on an Auto electrician, not £200 on an ecu you don't need .

i just dont know where to go from here it started at a fan relay where one of the wires go directly to my ecu, i dont know any thing else that can stop my fuel pump from working, checked fuse, relay, inertia switch,
i have not checked wires from cooling fan as i dont understand how that would interfere with my fuel circuit.could i be wrong?
is there more chance of a wire burning out before ecu if i put the wrong relay in and sent voltage up the line to the ecu?

If you are convinced you have burned it , then why not send it away to be tested, there are plenty of people who will test ecus for you.

i am not convinced, i really dont know much about ecu's i hope it is just a burnt out wire or something i will have a good look at weekend before i throw my money at it, just dont know how easy it is to fry an ecu,
i guess im hoping it fried the wire before it got there, but i keep coming back to why did the car cut out as soon as i plugged relay in if its a fan wire, im so confused it hurts..
