I've checked swopped checked again and cant see any leakage I have next to no air bubbles in the clear pipe. I've removed the hard pipe to the injector rail and cranked the engine, to my mind the diesel should spurt out of this but im getting nothing. This is a new pump too so I'm scratching my head.

Right ive tok the ball bearing out from the outlet to the fuel rail now I should get fuel coming out of there regardless of pressure now yet I have nothing.

I think the easy start is giving me false ideas too as when you spray that in with engine cranking it runs on it you can even remove the key ??

THis is a mare lol

It will run on easy start without anything else as that's all it needs fuel and air.

At this stage, you're going to need it plugged into a Lexia / PP to get the fault codes read (it will have stored something) if there's no bubbles present.

The crank sensor can cause this sometimes but I think that's more a case of it starting or not completely.

I will have to get hold of someone with pp to scan it I guess it's got me beat at the moment it defies logic lol I've yet to try my hammer however ;-) The fact there isnt any output from fuel pump kinda points that way but im told that this has been changed with a recon unit in a attempt by last person to get it running.

Quick question while I wait on a guy with pp, if I leave key in ignition and open door should the car beep at me to say that the keys are left in ?

a bit late , but i thought i'd let you know the outcome ...

well i tried all the above...

pipes , pipe connections ,all the pipes back to the tank, filled it with diesel, new primer bulb, new one way valves...nothing worked....it kept runing back to the tank ...
the last thing i tried was the diesel filter ...
fitted another one and it fires first time ,everytime .. no run back...
the reason i didn't look at the filter was because it wasn't very old ... about 18 months / approx 3000 miles ...
oh well ...
it's sorted now ..
many thanks ,
chris
