307 mpg

Post by wizzer59 »

Hi guys
Recently purchased a 02 307 2.0hdi 110 5sp manual, low mileage and well looked after, just wondered what sort of MPG should I see from it ???? i do about 550 miles a week, about two thirds of that motorway.

Depends on how and where you drive it, 45 average is probably about right if you do some town/city driving but if you drive gently on rural roads 60+ mpg should be attainable.

I got a quite amazing 50mpg or thereabouts off the last tankful in the C5! That's a "rough" calculation of brimming it til the first click, then running it until the light comes on then brimming it from the same pump taking into account the 4 miles it took me to get to the pump. I'm quite impressed with that. As ever, it seems driving it quite hard for a while after I got it has helped.

If you drive sensibly 50 mpg is attainable from the 2.0. I have had over 60 mpg wearing my glass slipper.
