407 - PP2000 errors help required to understand

Post by citrokid » 29 Dec 2012, 19:51

407 1.6 HDI with the following errors
dash reports ESP off
ESP ECU analysed with PP2000 it reports 2 errors
1 intermittent fault absence of communications with engine ECU not characterized
2 intermittent fault absence of communications with engine ECU incorrect value received
both errors are not clearing

BSi is reporting the following errors
1 Boot fuse box LH direction indicator short circuit to positive
2 Boot fuse box LH reverse light open circuit
3 Boot fuse box LH fog lamp short circuit to positive
all the above lights are working no main fused blown
PP2000 does not clear the faults!

Any help in understanding the faults above would be much appreciated
thanks

Hi!

This looks like corruption of the software in the BSI unit itself I'm afraid! You'll need to get the Car's original 4 Digit Security PIN Code and use this in conjunction with Planet to do a functionsl check of the BSI Software and if necessary, reflash it!

I take it you've tried the BSI reset procedure to no avail?
