Oh I see.

Not something I can help with, sorry as I don't have one to compare and I'd not be sure what I was looking at either, HDi's are not my area.

Perhaps post a request for some live data from a 2.0 HDi Citroen in that forum area ? , as long as you match the engine type (110 / 136 etc) the data should be the same so you should be able to spot anything really amiss.
Andy.

Well I've decided. I didnt want to get rid but no body seems to know how to fix the problem so its going. Ive had enough. Going to look at a Bellagio 407 coupe this week, if the dealers want to talk sensible money I might be interested,

Did you try a post in the Citroen area ? , include a screenshot or two of your live data if possible so someone has something to compare yours too.

No mate, I havent had time to plug it in again over the last few days. To be honest I've lost interest in it now. I started it earlier and it sat juddering away like it was on two cylinders. Couldnt rev it or anything. I switched it off and walked .

I have fitted a new fuel filter housing, this seems to have cured the cutting out lark. Although she does still seem to be a touch lazy at turning over. I know it isnt the battery as A I had it tested and B I can happily listen to the radio for about an hour before economy mode kicks in.
I think I shall stick a new starter on it.

Its worth taking the battery leads off (both ends if you can get to them) and ensuring they are clean / secure. Especially the main earth leads where they go to the body / engine or transmission. A good earth is needed.

I didnt get chance to check the earths due to work. It seems the starting issue is gone.. for now. Although the slight flutter on light throttle is still there :(

Still takes some cranking to start too. I hand primed it earlier and air hissed from the Degas screw, so im guessing i only solved one air leak.

Ok so, as it stands.
No start/ stop. But , it takes about 20 seconds to crank and start if its been sat around for more than a few hours. And its horrible and jittery on light throttle. Battery and starter are fine as it starts fine when it actually decided to start.
There is an air bubble in the pipe just before the engine, Ive drawn around it and ill check it in the morning.Along with any earths as suggested.
Im still on the air leak line, just where?! aarrgh lol.
I have a crank position sensor to fit, although why that would help Im not sure. But it was cheap so no biggie.

Well, new cps and no change. Still 35 months of cranking to start and lumpy as arseholes.
The cps despite the internet fibbers i found via google is not on the gearbox housing. Its on the belt side at the end of the sump next to the bottom pulley.
New plan, one more trip to a garage thhen its trade in time. I'm thinking new shape mundano.

New battery and starter and all is well. The old one was spinning about 100 rpm too slow.
The lumpy running is from p0204 injector 4 circuit fault. It has been checked, all loom and connectors checked and the code reset. So far it seems ok.

Good to know its OK.

Some starters were not really up to it from what I've found > http://www.frenchcarforum.co.uk/forum/v ... 11&t=43319" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Yeah she cranks over a treat now, thank you. To me the starter didnt sound all that lazy, but obviously wasnt up to the job.
Just need to research this fault code.
