hi i have a problem with the fuel guage on my 306 cab.i put £50 of fuel in it but the low fuel warning light does not come off and the guage hardly moves.i have put another set of clocks in and everything works correct accept the fuel guage.i removed the sender from the tank and manually moved the float but it still dont move.i have cleaned all the earths up i can find 5 in the engine bay and 1 in the drivers side footwell is there any i have missed :?

Hatches / estates have an earth on the offside c-pillar area or thereabouts, there's a multiplug although I seem to think that's the rear wiper and lighting earthing. Cab's may not have one there as there's no 'c' pillar as such.

You could try either another sender (failure is quite rare though to be honest) or temporarily bridge the wiring to trick it into thinking its full, obviously ensure the sender is fitted and sealed and just take the plug off and away from the sender area as you do not want sparks near fuel vapour.
