Re: Peugeot 307 1.4Hdi - EGR PROBLEM

Post by spider »

There was a concern with the plastic pipes in the engine bay on the 1.4, they would take in air. But usually this would cause a non start rather than anything else, at least the very few I saw that did it were not running. IIRC Ford had the same problem in the Fiesta too as they used the same (as far as I know, well more or less) unit in some models.

But to answer your question, no I do not think this would cause that fault as if it was that bad to lower the pressure that much it would not run.
Andy.

Thank you.
But sometimes my car is not easy to start and other times, when i am driving, my car switched off.
I don´t know what more can be causing this error.

Hello,
They called me from Peugeot now and they told me that the van was ready. I asked them what had caused the mistake and told me it was a problem of any cables. You think that might have been even a cable problem?
Thank you.

It is possible a wiring (cable) problem as I put a few posts back. :) , the error code did say there was a wiring problem possibly.

Hello,
Yesterday I picked up my van and asked me for the Peugeot explain what was happening, I was told they made a connection in the fuse box so that the ECU receives the information to send when diesel because they think they may be a problem that often happens even in cars that are within the warranty in sending information to the ECU. However also told me so if the problem is not in the fuse box the van can make to the error and if this happens is because it is a problem on the ramp of the injectors they put on 3 months ago and will have to change.
Have you ever heard about this? Do you think that the problem is in the fuse box of them with this change, the van will not make giving problems?
Thank you.

Not that I can remember, although please remember I am not that good with HDi engines.

If they are going to change the injectors for *free* then let them, otherwise no.

No it's not the injectors, it's the fuel rail (that they have put one new abour 3 months ago), because if the error apear's again the fuel rail that they have putted can be damaged.

Offcourse =)
But they have that wiring thing in the BSM, so they only do that if the error apears again. =)

Hello spider,

The van has been working very well, since it came from peugeot.
I wonder if you advise put some additive in diesel fuel to clean the injectors so they do not get corrupted, if yes, which brand.
Thank you.

The only one that really seems to work properly is the Forte branded stuff although its not that cheap.

This weekend the error appeared again and the van turned off, when it appeared, but the truck did not lose performance (aandar well and continued to respond to the throttle). This time the error that appeared in the screen was "Anti-pollution system faulty".
I had just done 50km's approximately 140km's / h when leaving the motorway roundabout on the error appeared.
The van is in Peugeot, but has not informed me of anything, I start to get worried.
Think you could be the rail pressure sensor? It was a colleague of mine who said that the error may come from there, however Peugeot, as you know, has already put a ramp fuel raill to about 3 months.
Thank you.
