Ay up, gazza!

First off, check the fuses. Replace any "blown" ones. Then locate the fan relay and change that for a new one.

If that doesn't work then you will need to swap the heater control board. I had to do it on a BX a few years ago and, while the part is fairly cheap, fitting the blasted thing is a world of pain. Good luck if this is needed!

While you're at it, it may also be worth checking the motor. Simply put 12v across its terminals and see what happens. Replacing that is harder than the control panel because I am sure that when a car is built, the tie the heater box to a rope hanging from the factory roof then build the car around it!

this happened to my 607 last winter (or maybe the one before?) in torrential rain and caused me to crash because I couldn't see anything
still it only cost me a suspension arm and a wheel arch liner so not so bad

it rained so hard that water dropped into the fan motor housing and collected in the bottom of the motor. After a few hours it started working again. I have now drilled a larger drain hole in the bottom of the housing... and put a new pollen filter in (it seems it keeps rain water out as well as pollen)

its usually blocked bulkhead drains or the plastic scuttle not sealed against the windscreen that causes water to enter were it shouldn't
