no fuel after small damage 1.4 hdi

Post by ianskill »

now another problem. ive had the main air filter housing removed and refitted on a 1.4hdi. i must have damaged the splitter on top of one of the injectors with fuel coming out when starting, ran for few seconds then stopped. i have repaired it for now and car wont start and no fuel coming through. tried manually priming several times with nothing still. i did forget the cam sensor plug but for some reason started without it. checked pipes from tank and nothing going through, car is in economy mode.any advice? thanks

Once you run these out of fuel, they can be awful to get going again. I have a vacuum oil drainer, and if in trouble , I use it to suck fuel through the return pipe (usually green connector) this seems to do the job. Cant really imagine too much else wrong with it.
