Pug 306 conv roof

Post by Xantianut »

Ay up!

We have a problem with the power roof on this. All the fuses and relays I can find check out and the motor whirrs when power is applied directly. However, the switch has no effect at all and the motor does not move the roof. There's plenty of oil in the reservoir and no sign of any leaks.

Is there another fuse or relay I need to look for and what am I looking for with respect to getting the roof to move under its own power?

Any assistance gratefully received.

Have you tried pushing the roof up from the front screen by hand.?? Sometimes when the system gets "old and tired" you have to assist it to get it moving. If that does not work I would find yourself a Peugeot Tech` who has the old Diag 2000 tool to go through the system. Its a long time since I`ve worked on these and from memory every time we had a failure it was a split hydraulic pipe in the o/side inner wing.

Trouble is anyone interested in a convertible wants to drive with the hood down and the wind in their hair. They wont be interested if its not working or will give you an insulting offer. You will get good money for a nice 306 convertible with the hood in working order. You never know it may just a simple fault and not very expensive to fix??
