Take the trim off the back "hatch" (pain I know) and check for water ingress.
Also take the clusters out (the ones with the reverse lights) and examine them for corrosion.
Does it always blow the moment you select reverse or is it intermittent ? , It could be one of the bulbs themselves vibrating and shorting internally intermittently too.

Unplug rear wiper motor, replace fuse then try switching rear wiper on.
If it does not blow then the motor is damaged / its relay (if fitted under hatch trim) possibly.

Need to determine if relay or motor at fault then.
Plug relay in and disconnect motor (I think this is possible on these) to see if it goes again, if it does not blow its the wiper motor, if it does its the relay or its wiring (between relay and motor)
I suspect the fault is in the motor though if the relay does not look like its had a bath or been a bit too warm.

It did
I'd go for the motor or the parking contacts inside the casing (red and grey wires).
If the unit can be disassembled easily it's worth a go...
To me that looks a pretty standard PSA rear wiper motor so a donor should be easy enough to find.
Another cause might be that the gearbox or shaft (more likely the shaft where it passes through the threaded part) is seized. This will cause the fuse to blow as the motor will be stalled and will draw excess current.

Re: `pop` goes the fuse..... (806 electrics lol)
short of drilling it out i cant seem to find a way to pull it apart - and it does seem its siezed as the shaft will not turn at all - even when clamped in a vice and my `slender` figure leaning on it
