electric mirrors
Hi again, my fella has a Peugeot 405 and some b*****d has smashed his offside overtaking mirror. He has got hold of a replacement but wants to know how to remove the glass to get to the wires behind it so he can fix it. Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks.
If you are replacing the whole unit I don’t think you need to remove the glass.
If I recall correctly you will need to remove the door trim to get access to the wiring connectors so that you can disconnect them in the door.
You then remove the mirror trim plate on the door and this should reveal the four screws that hold the entire mirror assembly. On my vehicle most of these were of the torx bit type.
