Peugeot 309

Post by davewithington »

Talking to the FedEx driver today - he has 15 309 GTis, can't get enough of them

He buys them, restores them and then sells them on. His problem at the moment is he can't get sills for them

Any ideas?

15!!!! That's a fair number... They are excellent cars though... The 309GTi is arguably better than the 205GTi...

Sills. I wonder if it's worth him approaching one of the firms that specialise in repro panels for old British stuff and see if they can make him up a batch. Tooling might be a tad expensive initially but if he's seriously into it...

I don't recall the 309 sills are all that complex...

Then again, a panel company may already have a profile that with a bit of trimming and fettling may just do the job...

I'm not surprised, I can't get sills for my 01 406!
