307 - door lock motors

Post by sooty »

Peugeot 307 door lock motor electrical connection.

I've tried and tried to disconnect/unclip the electrical connection from the front motors in the doors with failure.

Anyone know how these thing unclip, to remove the lock motor assembly. With pic or link elsewhere showing hows its done.

thanks

if they are like the Picassoooo there is a spring wire clip forming a bridge across a gap at the side of the plug, you need to press this bridge into/against the body of the plug, and pull the plug away whilst holding the bridge pressed in,

the other type will have a section at the end of the plug (usualy red ) you need to release with the tip of a small flat bladed screw driver,

then continue to slide the locking device out till it allows the plug to pull out

it is very tight for space,

Going to have alook this weekend at the door lock problem this weekend.

Knowing this car has a CanBus system controlling its various functions.

Can the door lock motors/soleniods and control circuit etc be tested with a digital meter to check operations.

thanks

i think you wont be able to test fully with just a multi meter, as this wont read what the BSI/ECU is or is'nt doing,

OK thanks,

But as these are a motor/soleniod which draws current of a sort. What if a headlamp bulb was used in place of the motor/soleniod to test the circuit, just as other items are controlled by the BSI/ECU like wipers horn etc.

I know the proper way would be using the Lexia/Planet software/hardware, but trying to find whether the locks or the BSI is at fault at this stage.

Thanks again

Ok

I know its been awhile since posting here last.

Still having a problem with the locks not unlocking, now with the L/H/F and R/H/R doors.

The Planet 2000 finds no faults in the BSI or other ECU's and only carries out a general door lock actuator test, not each one in turn. All the functions of the relays shown to be in correct status when locked/unlocked.

Anyone know best way to test the actual acutator or even electrically try to force the actuator to unlock if the interior door card is removed at any wiring connection inside the door etc. Also a wiring diagram of which wires are for the actuator would be helpful.

Thanks

No one has any suggestions or links.

I take it no one has experienced these problems with a 307 locking motor fault, not allowing the doors to open.

Just seen this, tbh the motors fail all the time, if you had the option to use a key in the passenger side you could possibly 'help'the solenoid, but in 307 you cannot.
I had a 307 in the other day, and both fronts had failed, the customer had been getting in the rear door for a week :(
almost 100% sure it will be the lock catch, mechanism, call it what you will, I bet I hae replaced more than 20 faulty ones, Picasso's, C5's, 206's, also fail in large numbers
Just noticed that you hae more than one failure, this is a little odd, if you get the car back on PP, its worth checking BSI configuration, to make sure it hasnt altered body type somehow, have had this occasionally.

Thanks,

From memory it was shown as a 5dr.

Managed to remove inner card to access the actuator wiring to test, but it looks as you the motors/actuators are duff.

Next big problem is opening the door while its still locked.????????

OK,

Finally found the problem, the actuator/motor is duff. Connected a bulb and meter to the lock connector pin 3 & 5 as numbered. Hey presto, theres life, so the lock is duff.

Anyone know of the part No. for the L/H/F (passenger dr) and R/H/F (driver dr) locks.

Thanks all
