My 309 GLD 89 F-reg is very rattly over cobbles & rough roads and the nosie appears to be coming from the front suspension and can easily be felt through the steering column. I fitted new Sachs shockers to it last Autumn and she had new upper strutt bearings in 98. Notice that when I reverse there is a sound like the struts/springs "settling" but yet when I look up inside the strutt it all looks aligned etc.
Could anyone suggest what could be loose or worn to cause this.
Cheers in advance

Thanks Citman
I'll check out the steering rack. Outer TRE was an advisory at the last MOT but no mention made of the inners, but there might be play there also.
My other thought is loose ball joints AFAIK they are original fittings & I reckoned they would contribute to the rough road rattling.
Many thanks
