Fuel / oil / air filters. For best life, change oil + filter every 6,000 and fuel / air every second or third oil change (if low mileage change oil + filter and fuel filter once a year regardless)
Pollen filter (80% of 406's without AC still have a pollen filter) will likely be in need as its often forgotten, under n/s scuttle panel.
Timing belt excellent idea, budget for water pump as its likely to want changing at the same time. Some say tensioners too, but they are quite decent metal on the XUD so do not fail too much. As a guide, I had to change my cambelt tensioners for the first time (I'm pretty sure they were never changed before) at 180K.
Examine radiator too, as they can leak if coolant has been neglected.
