306 Heater blower failure
I plan to look at a Phase3 1.6 that's got a non-working heater blower. All I know diagnostic wise is the blower will run with direct power applied and that fuses have been checked.
Ideally, I'd like to be armed with the relevant wiring diagram(s) but any hints, tips and pointers would welcome.

No not as far as I remember, you might need a small torx but not sure.
Tip: Stop wipers when they are upright then remove (as above) the scuttle trim just enough to see into the intake on the passenger side.

Ho, ho, ho, Haynes strikes again. The above is incorrect for this car (W-Reg Ph3) which has A/C and automatic temperature control. No wonder I wasn't finding continuity between the terminals.MikeT wrote:Got the wiring diagram now. For anyone interested, F21(30A) is switched from an ignition switched live via another relay and F5(10A).
Autodata put me on the right track. F22(10A) is the ignition switched feed to the heater blower relay, which is supposed to be Relay#2 but I found it was actually Relay#3 on this car which was unpopulated. Once a relay was fitted, power is relayed from MaxiFuse1 to F20(30A), great. But still no blowers etc.
When this car first came to me, I ran the Diag over it but got some french mumbo-jumbo when I interrogated the A/C ECU. Toby determined it translated as a failure to communicate which is not surprising if there was no power at F20. With that now fixed I'll give the Diag another go when the owner comes over next, hopefully with better results.
Anyone know where the A/C ECU lives in these cars and what I could check next?
