1.4 HDI injector chuffing

Hi,

Has anyone removed an injector to renew the copper seal on a 1.4 HDI engine?..........what is the detailed procedure please?.........what needs to be removed for access?

I can't find any data specifically relating to injector removal / refitting on the 1.4HDi units anywhere. My tech data does not cover them for some reason.

Job done, new seals on all 4 injectors and chuffing noise gone!....(number 4 seal had failed).....took me about 4 hours in total and for the amount of work stripping down it's never worth replacing only one seal. Thanks again spider for the useful links.

Good to hear its OK now.

I'd agree with you in that its not really worth just doing one after so much trouble to get to it, as sod's law says if you did just do one a month later another one would start.
