Peugeot 207 Key

Post by nextman »

Hi,

I have lost my spare key and I wish to buy a new remote key but without the high prices from a dealer.

I was wondering if I bought a used key off eBay with a new blade, will it work on my car after getting it cut and programmed? And is there anyway I can program it myself?

Thanks.

If its going to be similar to 407 or indeed 206 keys:

If you get one cut, it will fit and unlock doors etc but nothing else.

The remote operation will not work

The transponder code will be wrong (so it will not start the car)

I'm (about 80%) sure you can have it programmed via Planet (see if anyone on here has the software to do this)

i have a DIAG 2000 which should be able to program transponder key head's,

were abouts are you, im on the south coast in St Leonards on sea,

i am going to the CCC National Ralley at Gaydon near Stratford upon Avon this very week end,

i unlike a few on here do make a charge for pluging either of my dealer diagnostic machines into people's cars, as i run my own business,

let me know if you are anywere near either of these places, and i might be able to help
