Peugeot 205 1.1 Gearbox Alternatives.

Hello.

I have a 1990 Peugeot 1.1 with the TU1 engine. The gearbox is really starting to whine. I've been looking around for a replacement gearbox from a 205 but there don't seem to be many around any longer.

I know the 106 and Citroen AX use the same engine. Does anybody know if the gearbox from either of these would fit as a direct replacement?

Hi Alan -

Yes that should be a direct bolt on replacement.
