engine light on

hi the car is a peugeot 206 1.1 and on the dashboard theres a picture of a engine that stays on when the engine is running is this some thing i can fix or is it a garage job

Hi Dave,
Welcome to the site!

Its looks like that the engine managment light has come on, showing that an error code has been stored in the ECU, really you need to see a garage or if your lucky a friend with a dignostics machine to pin point the problem area.

I don't know much about the french petrol engines, but im sure someone will come along and point you roughly in the right direction just in case it can be solved without going to a garage!

cheers this isnt my car but a friends, i thought as much so a good independant peugeot mechnic
