Fuel Sender Unit Removal, Any Tips?
I'm trying to remove the fuel sender unit from my 405 1.9TD without success. The locking ring just won't move at all, I'm tapping it with a screw driver and hammer like Haynes says. All I've managed to do is break a number of the lugs I even tried heating it slightly to see if would maybe expand and loosen a little. Before I run out of lugs I'd thought I'd check if anyone had figured out a better way of getting the locking ring off?

Thanks, I did try some plusgas, but it didn't help. The way it's situated, it's tricky to get the real leverage on it. Is there an official tool for removing them? I was also considering cutting it away, and then replacing it with a new one.
