ABS and ESP warning lights

The ABS and ESP warning lights on the dashboard of my Peugeot 407 have lit up. It seems more than coincidence that they should light up at the same time. Does anyone know what the problem might be and how I can rectify it?

They do light up at the same time as the ABS ecu & the ESP ecu are the same unit & most of the sensors are the same to.
Have you had any work done on the car recently ? you really need to get the fault codes read with a decent diagnostic computer.

No, no work has been done on it recently. Thanks for your advice - we'll have it tested as you suggest.

Check the brake pad sensor wires on the front and rear if you have them there, they seem to break then throwing up these lights after.

Hi!

Make sure additionally the auxiliary brake-light switch isn't faulty - there's one for the stop-lights on one side of the brake-pedal plus an additional one for ABS/ESP etc!
