Rear Washers

Post by OwenP »

Just changed both wash pumps on the 405 as a precursor to its upcoming MOT, front one died a week or so ago and the back has been dead for ages.

Front works perfectly, but the back still doesn't deliver any water the pump is working and obviously straining, so I'm guessing there is a block pipe somewhere, how do I get to the pipe to check and fix this this any ideas?

Cheers

you have to take the cover off the inside of the boot lid just be carefull not to break any of the clips , but i would fist try fiiling the bottle with hot water and a small needle down the jet.
OR you could just be lazy and leave it as it is not a requirement for the mot!

Yeah I thought of the lazy option, but its not been working for about a year now so I thought I'd have a go at fixing it.

Will try the hot water and needle when it stops raining I think.
