HELP peugeot 205 door lock jammed

HELP WANTED ANY IDEAS
hey there closed and locked peugeot 205 passenger door and i can't open it now , with the key ,the button inside won't pull up to release and the interior handle won't open it

Sounds like one of the rods has fell off that connects the barrel to the lock,maybe?

Or the lock itself has gone stiff,this happened recently on my 405, i had to destroy the door card to get to it,(luckily i had a spare to replace it with)

Would be handy to know a car thief to try the old coat hanger trick!

have taken panel off rods still connected ,is the lock just stiff and needs a good hard yank to get it open what are the implications in doing that?
