Odd size tyres?

Post by caveman_si »

My Pug 406 estate currently has 195/60/R15 but all tyre listings ive seen have it specced with 195/65/r15 or something else.

Just wondering if anyone knows if these tyres were orginal spec or a reason for fitting them aftermarket?

Only wondering as im buying new tryes in the near future for it.

And yes ive double checked the tyres are defo 195/60/r15.

May be different for peugeot but my citroen has the tyre size on a sticker in the drivers door frame.

Nope theres no sticker on the door for tyres sizes and pressures.

It works on the 195/60/r15 and all 5 tyres are the same, like ive said just wondering if it was a dealer option or aftermarket.

The kwackfit site says 195/65/R16 for a 406 assuming its a 1.9TD or 2.0L petrol. not that I would suggest their service....

Exactly thats what ive seen. Which is why mine being fitted with 195/60/R15's is confusing

My 405 had a very odd set of tyres on it when I bought it, even to the point that the front and back weren't matched. I don't know why this was either as neither tyre rating was correct.

Could it just be some idiot decide they knew better about what tyre to have fitted?

Could be the previous owner got confused between the two and was either insistant or the tyre place didn't know better.

My 2.1TD has 205/60 my 1.9TD has 195/65 though I'm going to be swapping them over (again) later.
