Buying a 307SW

Post by p20 »

Hi. i currently own a Xantia HDi, but its dying. So i've seen a Pug 307SW. Its an HDi110, so i know about the engine. What else should i look at when buying a 307SW. Don't need the 7 seat option, but any problems with the glass roof (which looks fantastic 8))or anything else?

Thanks in advance

Read the posts about the particulate filter, and diesel additive. This might not apply to the Xantia.

Had a front wheel bearing go on mine @ 90k, cost £95 (just the bearing) from Pug dealer cos it has a magnetic sensor built in for the ABS.

Not heard of any problems with the glass roof, but then it doesn't move.
Brian.

Also watch out for
- Flywheel issues as I had to have mine replaced @ 45k, this is a well known problem.
- Valve in Turbo also seized so had to replace @ 45k
- Paticulate filter maintenance now required @ 52k

All of the above are quite costly repairs so tread carefully. I only bought mine in Nov06.

Cheers guys. I'll do a search on those.
I actually bought one last weekend with 45,000miles. It doesn't feel as quick as the Xantia, even though it has the same engine. Its not as good on juice either, 42mpg against average of 47mpg
