Partner Van

Post by robzondrumz »

Hi,
back again after a while, you helped me fix my Xantia last year. It now lives in Normandy and still runs great. Thanks
I now have a minor problem with my works van. The speedo has stopped working and I dont quite know where to start with it. Any advice on what to start checking? I am thinking of upgrading soon so need to get it fixed to sell the van on.
cheers

get you Partner over a pit or on a lift. Then have a look on RHS of the differential unit - the lump where both driveaxles connects to.
You should find an electric cable/connector here for the vehicle speed pickup unit. It probably needs a good clean and then just reseated.

Never go under a vehicle which is only supported by a jack. Make sure that you use a proper axle stand or similar as well.
