406 LX td 1.9 - Limp Mode!

Post by zanders »

Hi guys,

I am not sure if a definitive answer has been posted about the limp mode on the 406 Td?

I have the 2000 model 406 estate and everyonce in a while I suffer from the anti polution warning followed by being limited to 3000 revs in any gear.

Sometimes if I stop and restart the car this clears the problem.

I did put it into the main dealers to rectify this at one point and it went away for a couple of months however its now back with a vengance and seems to be woorse when the car is warm.

has anyone found a resolve to this?

sounds like a possible throttle potentiometer problem,or loss of diesel high pressure sensor and ecu is going to default settings, when was in deaker did they give you a print off from diagnostic lap top of what fault codes were stored in ecu,did they report anything on your invoice?did they change anything?
