Pug 106 1.4 diesel timing belt

Post by caeclyd2 »

My daughter has just bought a 95 Pug 106 1.4D with 55000 on the clock. As far as I am aware the belt has not been changed. I know the manual states 72000 ......change it?

YES!!! I know they say 72,000 but for peace of mind 36,000 is not a bad figure to aim for. If it breaks it's curtains for the engine...

Got mine changed as soon as I bought it. Was actually slightly overdue. However Haynes recommends its done at 36,000 for piece of mind.
