406 td r reg diesel pump

I am replaceing my fuel pump as a fault has came up, start of injection fault according to the code reader,but im not sure which pump is suitible.

I has a 406 1.9 dt r reg, I have found a pump off a v reg car on ebay will this be okay

My car has got the advance and retard on

The car will not run properly until i pull the brown plug off, it runs hot as if the advance and retard aint workin, any info will be appreciated

Pull the lead to the flywheel TDC sensor and the injector lift sensor, note any change.
