My 306XTDT 1993 with 140,000 miles has started to rattle the body on start-up. Also occasionally on idle, I can feel the vibration. I notice that the rubber bungs on the engine mounting (timing belt side) are worn. Stuffing bits of rubber in the worn area has eliminated the start up rattle, and reduced engine vibration at idle. So it looks like this mounting is worn and need replacing.
Does the timing belt need to come off , or can I do this by supporting the engine weight, pulling off the bracket, swapping rubber mountings and re-fitting?
