Cabin temp sensor noise

Post by Linchpin »

Hi guys, on my 306 im getting a bad buzzing noise from the interior light panel, its a fan with naffed bearings (being a PC tech i recognise the noise!)
Anyone got any idea how to get at it? I dont want to force and break the panel completley.
Cheers

Hi
Normally theres a couple of screws hidden behind the map reading light, Pop this off with a small flat blade screwdriver & they should be behind there.

Excellent! Any idea if the fan is interchangeable?

Hi
No idea mate, But knowing how PSA likes to share as many parts as possible between models to keep costs down, It most likely is.

The roof console on a 306 is the same as the 406 as I found when my interior light cover broke.

The buzzing is coming from the slots. Definatly. Using my crude testing methods when you stick a piece of paper in there and stop the fan, no buzzing :)

Sorry, if anyone can confirm the map reading light is the bit with the rubber wheel to select left / right? I just want to make 100% sure before i stick a screwdiver under it and smash it to bits :)

That looks like a phase 1 306 mine is different being a phase 2 I presume. Also the fan is not part of the roof console on mine either.
