306 Xsi Idle Problem

Hello again guy's
My 306 has just gained yet another problem,Hope you can help.??
After starting and driving for a while the engine won't idle properly.
When the car stops the engine revs erratically between about 600 rpm to 1500 rpm as thou its hunting for fuel or air.Have checked air intake for leaks.!!!!
Engine seems to drive and accelerate as normal.This fault only happens sometimes.
Any ideas..???

Its likely to be the idle stepper motor if its not an air leak. It can be cleaned as a temporary measure, but its not a problem i've yet to encounter, so I can't tell you whereabouts to look fo it.
