Re Alarm

Post by New Pug Owner »

Having seen on this forum there seems to be a lot of problems with the alarms going off when they feel like it..."Mine included" 306 Xsi
I thought i would try my own solution.!! I have put black electrical tape over both sensors on the windsceen pillars and the alarm hasn't gone off YET.!! What i need to know is, are there any other problems i could cause by doing this.??
Many Thanks
Pete

I couldn't imagine that you would cause a problem doing this other than stopping the ultrasonic sensors working (not that they are working properly if they are giving you false alarms).

New ultrasonic sensors required at £22.00 + vat. I've just left mine disconnected, and still got the flashing red light which to me is 99% of the effect without being got out of bed in the night!
