Ok, so what do i need to look out for engine wise on these?
Head gasket?
Cooling?
Leaks?
Turbo?
What are they like for DIY maintenence?
Looking to spend around £1k @ auction, so won't have too long to check it out!

Hi mate, check out for water leaks from the radiator and thermostat housing, Also if possible check for any smoke, later ones are better than earlier ones, good luck, 406s are nice cars!

Also, try for a 2.1DT if possible. Much better than the 1.9s although DIY maintenance is more difficult. Not too much to go wrong though.

I'll bet - don't see that many around nowadays though - bit of a rarity...
Is your expensive to run - parts, reliability??
