pug 306 plip key, how do I reprogram a 2nd hand ke

I have a 1995 306 Diesel Turbo, the plip key gave up about a year ago so I simply would unlock mthe doors manually.I recently had reason to disconnect the battery,which, when I reconnected the battery the alarm went off.To overcome the alarm problem I have removed a rlay from under the dash.I then contacted the main dealers and was told I need a new plip key at a cost of £90,but I was advised by the spars dept that if I get a secondhand key which is exactly the same visually it can be re-programmed to my vehicle. Now the problem, How do you re-program a used plip key?. Can anybody help please.

turn on ignition with your old key or remove key blade from plip and turn on ignition then point plip at sensor on roof and press about 10 times then turn off ignition and test plip it worked for me let me know how you get on

Hey there,
would the above method work for re-programming a used 'RF' (new) plip?
If not, would anybody know the procedure?

sorry peugeot has to reprogram the rf type as far as i know

damn,
i got quotes when I enquired to them before, they wanted an hours labour!!! so around 45 quid :/
