BX and Xantia rear disks, thr same??

Post by CommY »

Are they the same? J Reg 1.6 Athena and a 1997 1.9 TD Xantia SX?
To remove deep corrosion/rusted holes from the fasce of s disc I put a medium/coarse sheets of wet snd dry between disc and pad, works a treat. Apart from making sure you maintain minimum thickness any problems with this method
Incidentally does anyone want a working ABS ECU for a BX? My dad will just want postage. Will post make P/N if any interest

Because they've got different part numbers - I would say not.

They aren't the same, the BX discs are ever so slightly smaller in diameter than the Xantia ones, so if you use BX discs on a Xantia the brake pad isn't all on the disc, a bit protrudes over the edge of it...
